From Our Principal

Greetings

My name is Matsentshe William Mathipa, affectionately known as Thabiso. I am the founding principal of the newly established Your School. I hold a Master's in Business Administration as my highest qualification, which has earned me two Directors' Awards for being the top student in Project Management and Public Sector Leadership and Governance. I am a Mathematics and Physical Sciences specialist who has never underperformed in his subjects. I have a rich history of achieving 100% pass rates in Physical Sciences and exponentially improving Mathematics results.

Through my classroom excellence, I have been crowned the best teacher in both Mathematics and Physical Sciences in the Limpopo Province and South Africa.  I have contributed immensely to the education sector through coaching and mentorship in collaboration with the SACE national office, amongst others. I also had the opportunity to represent South Africa in China in 2023 due to my exceptional results and work ethic.

I am eternally grateful to the Limpopo Department of Education, the Head of Department, Mr Maropene Seshibe, and the Capricorn South District Director, Ms Tinyiko Nkuzana, for affording me such a great opportunity to be part of history. Building a school from the ground up has confirmed that when one is determined to achieve a goal, they can achieve it at any cost. The motto of our school is in pursuit of excellence, and when I say we are pursuing excellence, I know exactly what I am talking about.

Our school is kicking off with only grade 8; the main reason is that we would like to inculcate a school culture that shall be carried through generations. We sit today with a total enrolment of 227 learners and 9 teachers. The teaching staff has been doing more with less (lean strategy), ensuring that all learners are taught and no one is left behind. The slogan of our school is where ethical leaders are made. Considering the leadership deficiency that we are experiencing in the country, we want to be an institution that brings a solution to an extent that the products of our prestigious institution will be promoted into greater positions of influence in the country and beyond.

I want to thank all parents who believed in our vision and who are still willing to contribute positively towards what we would like the school to be and look like, ke a leboga batswadi. I appreciate the circuit manager, Ms Ratale SM, and the interim SGB, who have assisted significantly in ensuring that the school finds its feet on the ground.

This first cohort of learners is making history, and they are the very first learners to sit for the National Senior Certificate in the year 2030, which is a year we are all waiting for as per the national development plan.
